Beginner Photography Class Starting on Tuesday, April 23rd – Register Now!

Wellington Photography is now offering our long anticipated Beginner Photographers Workshop, designed for digital SLR enthusiasts who want to learn the basics of “manual” photography and unleash their creativity behind the camera. Your workshop instructor, Rudy Stroh, is the co-owner of Wellington Photography, graduate and past instructor at Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography and is a PPA Certified Professional Photographer. Rudy’s simple and easy-to-understand approach to the mechanical workings of a digital SLR camera and the dreaded trio, ISO, f-stop and shutter speed will take away the fear so you can take command of your passion!

Topics and skills to be covered in this course are: Basic mechanical functions of a digital SLR camera, ISO, f-stop, shutter speed and their relationships. Depth of field, stop action and blurred action, over and under exposure to achieve a desired effect will also be discussed. Finally, basic lighting and composition techniques will be introduced. This workshop is hands-on and each student will have an opportunity to practice their new skills and see the magic happen in their own camera! Easy, fun assignments will be given each week to help deepen the student’s understanding of the topics covered.

This is a four evening workshop which will be held on consecutive Tuesdays from 7 to 9pm beginning on April 23rd. Students are also invited to enjoy a Photo Adventure on Saturday morning, May 11^that a local park to hone their new skills with Rudy and get creative!

Workshop cost: $199.00 (payable at time of reservation -non-refundable but is transferable for another person to attend this class)

Requirements: A digital SLR camera (with owners manual) and a yearnin’ for learnin’!

Chalfont Fire Company members Rudy and Susan Stroh, who are also the owners of Wellington Photography here in Chalfont, have created a realistic “Fire Scene” set for this Special event, complete with a real Fire Engine, Hydrant, Firehose and other Goodies!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2012 ~ From 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Chalfont Fire Company Main Station ~ 301 N. Main Street in Chalfont

A Child’s Masterpiece

Since we opened our doors in 1986, I think I’m most proud of our ability to take on special photographic projects, whatever they may be. This piece was brought in by a proud parent who’s son created it in his elementary school art class. Through special lighting techniques and computer enhancement, I was able to reproduce it with great accuracy. Now, professional photographic prints can be made so this little artist’s masterpiece can be enjoyed by his entire family!

Bucks County Bar Mitzvah Photography ~ Joshua

Ann’s Choice Model Railroad Club in Warminster

I recently had the opportunity to make some photographs for the Ann’s Choice Model Railroad Club in Warminster, PA. It was obvious that the members of this club really love trains. I was taken back by the intricate detail of the buildings and structures. The club will be submitting an article along with my photographs to Model Railroader Magazine with the hope of getting published!
